Cataloging note: While documentary evidence of the authorship of these four prints is lacking, it is likely Méndez was, if not their sole or primary creator, involved in at least some way in their execution. The prints show definite signs of his style, especially in the overall composition, the use of the velo (a multiple-line engraving tool), and the natural way the figures in motion are depicted. Moreover, having recently returned from his Guggenheim fellowship in the United States as the TGP was preparing this publication, Méndez almost certainly would have wanted to contribute to it. Other contributing artists included José Chávez Morado and Pablo O'Higgins.
