Description:  85 linocuts by 16 members of the Taller de Gráfica Popular. 84 loose plates in portfolio with a 12 page booklet containing historical notes on the prints and the Declaration of Principles of the TGP. Méndez contributed 7 of the prints (two of them in collaboration with Alfredo Zalce). The cover image (the 85th print) is by Ignacio Aguirre.

Dimensions (cm): 41.0 x 28.0 (portfolio cover), 40.0 x 27.1  (each plate)

Published edition: 500 copies, numbered 1-500 and 50 copies numbered I-L, printed commercially by Editorial Galatea and published by La Estampa Mexicana under the direction of Hannes Meyer. The prints were printed from the original linoleum blocks on bond  paper , 36 kg., of various colors (white, pink, orange, blue, green). The album cover was printed on gray (ceniza) corsican cardstock, 182 kgs. Additional impressions of the individual prints  from the portfolio were  hand-pulled at the TGP, number of impressions unknown.

Signature and annotations: Impressions are unsigned. Portfolios are numbered in ink on inside flap. Each print has text, lower left, containing the number in the series, title, and artist.

Cataloging note: According to Prignitz, the work on the portfolio began in 1945 and continued until 1947.
